Hello. I’m David Michael Smith. I started my own business at an age when most of us would consider retiring. Uniquely qualified, with over 50 years’ experience in building, remodeling, and making repairs around the home. I’ve earned the title of Old-World Craftsman.
My education began in my father’s shop. A Master Carpenter, he taught me basic building skills using simple hand tools. His generation survived the Great Depression using their knowledge and skill to repair or repurpose just about anything that was broken.
Learning how to repair and repurpose things is a skill I use to this day. Other mentors include a man who taught carpentry at Perkins School for the Blind. Still others showing me the many secrets of their craft.
I have had my own business for 15 years and work with all my customers to find solutions for their projects, keeping them informed throughout the process. As a perfectionist, I pay attention to the smallest details. As a business owner I treat all my clients the way I would like to be treated, with respect and understanding.
